GENERAL FIXING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LONG LASTING OF SHEETS AND FOR ELEGANT LOOK
While fixing, start form the bottom row, left to right, and follow the same for each row.
While fixing every sheet nail the first and the last corrugation of the sheet. Then nail each corrugation at the eves and at the over laps. But nail alternative corrugation on intermediate purlins.
Use metal and bitumen washer for nails as shown in figure.
Maintain at least 1.5 feet slope, increase the raise to gain durability of the sheet.
Overhung of sheets should not exceed 3’’ at the eves. Trim the excess of the sheets.
Maintain 18’’ (1½ feet) interval in between the purlin to prevent sagging.
Use wooden reeper at the eves.
While nailing do not spoil or reshape the corrugation.
Maintain 2.5 feet for each cross rafter.
Do not fix the sheet upside down. It reduces the sheet life and the neat look of the structure.
Use foldable ladders or wooden planks while working on the roof.
